BatchPixel Privacy Policy

Summary

BatchPixel converts, compresses, resizes, and combines images into other formats (such as HEIC, PNG, JPG, WebP, and PDF) using only your device's own image and printing capabilities. There is no BatchPixel server and no cloud component in the conversion path. Because the app contains no networking code, your images have no way to leave your device through BatchPixel.

Information we collect

None. BatchPixel does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information or usage data. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Your images or their contents.
• Accounts, profiles, names, or email addresses.
• Device identifiers or advertising identifiers.
• Usage statistics, diagnostics, or crash logs sent off the device.
• Location data, contacts, or any other personal information.

On-device processing

Every step — decoding an image, converting it to another format, compressing, resizing, stripping metadata, and generating a PDF — runs locally on your device. Converted files are first written to storage that is private to the app, and they stay there unless you explicitly choose to save or share them.

Conversion re-encodes each image through your device's image pipeline, which drops the original EXIF metadata (such as location, camera details, and timestamps) from the output. Converted files do not carry forward the source image's embedded metadata.

Permissions

BatchPixel is designed to need as little access as possible:

• Picking images requires no permission. You select images through your device's built-in system photo picker or document browser, which run outside the app and hand over only the files you choose. BatchPixel never gains general read access to your photo library.
• Saving to Photos asks only for add-only (write-only) access, and only when you save. On iOS this is the "Add Photos Only" prompt, which lets the app add converted files but not read, list, or modify anything else in your library. On modern Android versions, saving needs no permission at all. If you decline, nothing is saved and you can use the share sheet instead.
• Saving to Files requires no permission. On iOS, files are written to the app's own folder in the Files app; on Android, you choose the destination folder in the system folder picker, and access is limited to that folder.
• Camera, microphone, and location are never used. On Android, the camera, microphone, and broad media-read permissions are explicitly blocked in the app so that no bundled library can request them. On iOS, the app declares that the camera and microphone are not used; those declarations exist only because a bundled system library references them, and no part of the app ever requests either permission.

Third-party services

None. BatchPixel does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs that receive your data. It uses only your operating system's own permission, image, printing, and file interfaces.

Analytics and tracking

None. BatchPixel contains no analytics, telemetry, advertising, or tracking of any kind. We do not profile you, and we do not track you across apps or websites.

Children's privacy

BatchPixel does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Because nothing is collected, uploaded, or shared, the app poses no additional data-privacy risk to children.

Changes to this policy

If BatchPixel's data practices ever change, this policy will be updated to match. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date. As of the effective date above, the app collects and uploads nothing.
